How we support social & emotional we—being in nature.

How can we support social and emotional well-being in nature?

Nature provides so many opportunities for children and their development. Firstly, to be free, to explore and to experience calm. By allowing children to experience child-led or unstructured play can help children enhance their social skills. Children will independently use verbal or non-verbal communication to express their needs during play. Being curious about nature, evokes a sense of belonging and resilience. When children play with others, valuable life skills such as friendships, negotiation, problem solving, which all contribute to a healthy, emotional and social resilience.

Nature also provides a beautiful playground of trees, creeks, sticks, stones, rocks and more that can build children's physical capabilities, their strength, balance and fitness. Being outdoors is a daily routine, we all need to create and enjoy the benefits for LIFE.
